I have had it a few days and it has been a help. I’m not that deaf, but I miss consonents quite a bit, but this makes sounds definitely louder, and in the higher range, where I need it. I’ve tried regular cutting edge hearing aids that are computer regulated to match my specific hearing loss, but my trial only lasted a few days because I was bothered by the creaking of the floors and the clattering of dishes and tableware, which I did not hear before. With my Medicare discount they still cost me a few thousand out of pocket for a five thousand dollar item, and this is only $400 and you don’t have to change batteries. It took a while to get the charger to work, as you have to insert it in place very carefully and precisely, but once I got it charged overnight, it fit into my ear OK and amplified OK, and I could adjust the volume myself instead of having to go to the audiologist and have it adjusted with a computer. I only bought one hearing aid, not two, and am in process of trying it out. So far I used it at a play, where I often miss the words, but this time I missed fewer words and felt better about the experience. It is frustrating when the rest of the audience is laughing at a joke, and I miss it, time and time again!

I purchased this product for my father last week. He has lost 50% of his hearing over the past years. He has tried so many hearing aids, they would work for a while, but did not help him too much. However, this bionic hearing aid TOPPED THEM ALL! He is happier; he can hear things he couldn’t hear before, the t.v. and radio doesn’t have to be as loud as they use to be. Before this, we would always have to repeat ourselves when talking to him, now we don’t have too. he is so happy that this morning when I woke up, he told me that he can now hear the birds singing in the tree, and he could not hear them before. I would recommend this product to anyone who is seeking help. It is greatly helping my father & now he wants one for the other ear. I think this is the best hearing aid around, it is rechargable, my dad doesn’t have to worry about batteries like he use to when he had previous hearing aids. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
